@beelicious23:  We are getting married at the wedgewood banquet hall in San Ramon. They are way more affordable because its all one inclusive package. They have several locations in the bay area, you should check em out. Nothing else I looked at was in our budget. So far the girls at wedgewood have been so nice and accomodating to every one of my requests/questions

(Some ceremony pictures…our reception was inside the mansion)

@beelicious23:  I don’t know if you are willing to travel about two hours but we live in Sonoma County but got married at the Grand Island Mansion in Walnut Grove, CA. It was out of this world gorgeous and the pricing was incredibly reasonable. Our wedding was 130 people and they do have outdoor reception options.

It took us a while to finally find an affordable venue because the bay area is so expensive!!!! We are very happy with our choice of Palmdale Estates in Fremont We’re doing an outdoor ceremony and venue for 100, and we’re saving a lot with BYO alcohol. We used a bunch of different websites to look for venues, but we eventually found ours using You can actually see how much a wedding will cost at different venues, and that’s how we found Palmdale Estates which fit our budget. Good luck with your search!

My fiance and I were looking for winery venues in Northern California, concentrating on venues closer to the South Bay (ruling out Napa and Sonoma). Livermore and Gilroy both have beautiful venues that are more affordable. We actually just put down a deposit for Murrieta’s Well, a small winery in Livermore, which we found to be the most affordable of the ones we contacted and visited ($1,000 venue rental fee for Saturday during the off-season months, which is November – May). But, Murrieta’s Well has a max capacity of 110.

We also contacted and took a tour at Elliston Vineyards in Sunol, which is a little bit more expensive (Approx $2-3k rental fees for Saturdays).

I also got some quotes from Guglielmo in Gilroy. They offer all-inclusive packages (cake, DJ, food, etc), and they start at around $20k for 100 guests.
