after all the posts, i was going to start looking into doc’s to see what exactly they offer and their price ranges.  and then seriously, i found your post and find that you’ve done all the work for me! this post rocks–thank you so much for sharing and taking the time to put that together!

I agree that folks need to be upfront with their prices.  I received numerous responses from make-up artists, photogs, and bakers like this.  Really?  You can’t just give a per hour or per serving starting price?

So I took my money elsewhere.

  • Complimentary initial consultation
  • Additional timeline and detail meeting one month before the wedding
  • Final walk-thru at venue
  • Timeline creation and vendor confirmations
  • Available via phone or email for any questions or vendor referrals as needed
  • Run wedding rehearsal including processional and recessional line-up
  • Take any personal items needed for the wedding day (e.g. guest book, candles, place cards, and more)
  • Arrival at the appropriate time before your wedding for set-up
  • Detail placement of any items needed for the ceremony and reception
  • Run ceremony including cueing musicians and lining up bridal and groom’s party
  • Personally direct guests during the wedding
  • Put out any fires, i.e. emergencies (late vendors, etc)
  • Oversee reception from food service to cueing all events with the couple and emcee
  • Distribution of final payments and tips to vendors
  • Secure all gifts and envelopes with person of your choice
