Likely SF City Hall with immediate family followed by a reception dinner for about 50 people. Searching for a venue currently.
We are getting married at Scott's Garden in Walnut Creek. I was just about to go look at Wedgewood's San Ramon location, I've heard great things about it. Have you looked any other Wedgewood locations? We went to their Oakland location and it was a little loud since it was in the flight path of Oakland International and another small airport. I've heard nice things about Grand View Pavillion in Alameda (http://www.grandviewpavilion.com/) We wanted to go with Hotel Whitcomb but ran into some difficulties. Where else are you looking?
i've seen the san ramon wedgewood location, we really liked the price point and options, but it was too small for our wedding =( the coordinators there seemed to be really nice and they're willing to cut things out of packages too to meet your needs.
I heard that the San Ramon one is the most well maintained, and it looks fairly decent from the tour I had.
We're gonna be getting married at the Palm Event Center in Pleasanton, can't wait!!!<span style="white-space: pre;">
I recently went to a wedding at Wente Vineyards in Livermore...so a little outside San Fran and it was absolutely breathtaking!!! I would reccommend it to anyone!! i took the most beautiful photos!
San Francisco City Hall and intimate dinner reception later that evening and after party. Since we're getting married on a Friday and it's a holiday, city hall not open to the public that day. Hoping we won't run into issue with it being a holiday or we'll have to change the date. Doubt it because SF CITY Hall actually has wedding packages.
I'm getting married at Casa Real in Pleasanton. It's a beautiful mediterranean style building in a vineyard setting. The same catering company owns another venue, Palm Event Center, closeby too. Both those venues are great because they are all inclusive and can fit up to 500 people!
One venue I didn't check out but wish i had was the Palmdale Estates in Fremont. more affordable and looks wonderful.
Yay for Casa Real! I'm getting married there too! I went to weddings at both Casa Real and the Palmdale Estates this summer. Both are gorgeous, but Casa Real can accommodate more people inside, which is good for fall brides (never know about the weather).
The old Federal Reserve (Bently Reserve) in San Francisco.
OH I've been to the San Ramon Wedgewood. I thought the packages they offered were really affordable. The ceremony site overlooks this cute brook. But I ultimately could not deal with the fact that since it's at a public golf course, there could be people GOLFING during your wedding ceremony. I asked if they could at least ask the golfers to stop golfing for the half hour of the ceremony and they said they couldn't! I really did not want a photograph with a golfer in the background. And they weren't even far away. The 18th whole is right next to the seating area.
We got married in the Shakespeare Garden in Golden Gate Park when everything was blooming - it was really beautiful! - and had our reception at the Westin St Francis. I have to say the Westin was really good about everything from planning and food to security so we wouldn't have crashers.
I'm a photographer who has worked at over 100 bay area venues. If any of you need recommendations, just pm me your wedding size ( # of guests ) and your if your budget is low, medium, or luxury for your venue and I can send a couple recommendations.

We got married at the Oakland Yacht Club in Alameda. Great venue, especially if you are looking for a more casual atmosphere. Very affordable and the staff there are friendly!

Hello bay area brides!
Just wondering where everyone is having their wedding at =)
I really like the Wedgewood in San Ramon (link: http://www.wedgewoodbanquet.com/san_ramon/wp.html) but it's a little bit over my budget.. =(
