Sounds great! The ones I have been too aren't really chaotic to me.
I used to be a registry consultant there. I was also a product training manager. They are pretty good over there. Terrible company to work for if you are a female in a management position!!!! Very very sexist. I was harrassed, and when I reported it, I got transferred! But good employee training and good prices.
The only annoying thing is that they are trained to ask certain questions. We registered there about 2 years after I stopped working there. I said to DH, "watch how many times they ask where we are going on our honeymoon!" Sure enough, about 3 times per visit!
@heathaah - very interesting! i'm sorry that you had a bad experience working there - i can see how that could make you crazy.
@missasb- funny, every one I've ever visited has been a little nuts. I mean that besides having the floor to ceiling products, every aisle is jammed with kiosks and extra merchandise to the extent that it's difficult to move carts through there. And the clip strips and end caps are just stuffed everywhere. It doesnt' help that our particular location just got the CVS style toiletry section - they just squeezed it in despite having no space.
Ohhhh.. I'm so angry at BBB. We registered about 9 months before our wedding. It was on the list, so we did it. My shower was this weekend, and HALF of the stuff we registered for is "temporarily out of stock". People can order it online, but it could take WEEKS to recieve. I'm angry with them. Now we don't know if stuff will even be avaiable for us to get our 20% off after the wedding... grrr.
Our registry went smoothly once we got going. We had to wait a while before someone was free to help us. We were let free around the store and had a ball picking things out.
We had tons of fun completing our regitry at BBB :) The only problem we had was with our china. We bought the last two placesettings that we didn't get, and a couple of serving dishes, and we specifically sought out a BBB store that had a china department, and when we got there, they didn't have anything we needed in stock. They actually told us, "Most of the time, we just have the floor models of everything, and we need to special order the items." I was ticked because we had to pay shipping, but oh well. Lesson learned!

Just writing in to report that it went pretty smoothly! I was shocked. We didn't like registering at BBB b/c the registry consultant advised us "don't look at prices ... think of this as your WISH LIST!" and gave me a 2 page sheet of "must haves" and a pencil to check each thing off my list after registering. I'm no princess so I told her to keep her list and to let us walk ourselves through the store, haha. BUT - going in and picking up some of the leftover things went so well - associates helped us locate things in stock, and ordered the things that weren't available in the store to our house. Then the clerk had to deal with the order item receipt, our 10% registry completion letter, our 20% off one item for our off-registry item, and a store credit. Smooth and polite. I would recommend BBB if you want an easy place to get things done w/ returns and ordering. I'm pleasantly surprised. The stores are still a real chaotic mess though!
