@Glasgowbound:  My alarm does… the beeping not so much. I hide under the covers while i take it to muffle the sound but DH understands it just something I gotta do =P But i will be honest, i was very nervous at first because I thought the beeping would drive him nuts and he would think I am nuts. Luckily, it was all in my head =) Good luck temping!!

It might but he doesnt say anything. And if he did I would tell him to shut it because I have to temp. 🙂

It used to, but just like I got used to temping barely awake, he sleeps right through my alarm and the beeping now.

My husband never hears it.  Then again a frieght train could go through the house and he’d still be asleep snoring.

Not in the least, because he’s a heavy sleeper–and in denial about it, too. He sleeps through my alarm, and under the covers the beeping is so faint that I can hardly hear it even when I’m listening for it.

We had a funny conversation a few days ago when I mentioned taking my temperature every morning. He refused to believe that I had been doing that because he’d never heard my alarm or seen me use my thermometer. He was rather insistent.

He may have heard it but he never complained that it woke him up. I took mine at 5am and he’s a fairly deep sleeper.

My husband’s never said anything about it. I usually squeeze my hand around the section of the thermometer where the beeping happens because it’s SO loud, and it bothers me in my half-asleep state!

If your husband complains, point out that TTC is a team effort. You have to wake up to temp, so he shouldn’t complain too much about it.

I used to put my finger over the speaker, but DH never woke up from it. I think he used to hear it at first, but just like PP said, he doesn’t even hear my alarm so he stopped hearing the thermometer pretty fast too.

I temped for 4-5 months or so before TTC and getting my BFP.

I press my thumb against the back while I am holding the thermometer and it muffles the sound. DH never really notices it anymore. The beeping is nice because it keeps ME from falling asleep with the thermometer in my mouth and getting an inaccurate temp!

I put the covers over my head while I temp, and he’s never so much as stirred while I’m doing it.

Mine only beeps when its done. It’s never woken DH up. Then again though, he’s a total pain to wake up generally.

Mine beeps the whole darn time (my old one didn’t beep at all, but my ferrets stole it and I never saw it again). My husband sort of wakes up because my alarm has gone off, but once he realizes it’s not time to get up, he just goes back to sleep.
