Hi girls,
I'm from (a suburb of) Vancouver, BC and am about to start dress shopping this Saturday! I have my eye on a few Mori Lee Blu gowns. A coworker told me that it is significantly cheaper to buy the same gown in the states than if I were to purchase it from a salon in the Vancouver/Lower Mainland. Is this true? I will already be going down to David's Bridal in Bellingham for my bridesmaids dresses.. would it be worthwhile to make an appointment at a salon that carries Mori Lee to see the price difference?
My thoughts are: 1. Can it really be THAT much cheaper? 2. Wouldn't be a pain in the butt to have to pick up the dress from the US? 3. And would the money I potentially save on purchasing the gown be eaten up by paying for alterations at a different place back home in the lower mainland?
I think I just answered my own question, but I'm curious if any other brides from my area have done this. Thanks so much!
J
