I just posted about needing ideas for my BIL's girlfriend.

Well I also need suggestions for what to get my MIL for her birthday too! It's coming up, too. I have gotten her flowers numerous times and am sick of getting that for her. SHe gave me a dress and a $50 gift card to Kohls, as well as a card that said how she thought of me as her real daughter.

So any ideas???

Hmmm, my mom always likes when I make a special day for her. We go out to lunch and get pedicures and just spend a little girl time together. Do you think your MIL would like that?

Maybe tickets to something for her and her husband or for you and her and your husband? concert? play? comedian?

Go to a nice candy store and pick out a nice box of chocolates, like the ones where you can make your own box and pick each piece individually...! And a little something else, maybe put it in an interesting box with ... hey is she into scratch tickets? Well, scratch tickets and candy, an interesting mix, but a little something else would be great!

I know with my MIL - you can never go wrong with a framed picture or jewelry. If she's sentimental - what about something with yours and DH's birthstones in it??

Does DH have any ideas, since I'm guessing you'll be giving her a 'joint' gift?

btw, that was really sweet what she wrote in your card.
