What does she like? My FMIL likes coffee so I've given her Peets Coffee stuff. I've also given her tea gift sets from Republic of Tea. A couple years ago I got her a fruit basket from Harry and David b/c her kitchen is decorated with lots of kitchy apple things. She loved it. Good luck!
At Christmas, I got one of those collage frames that holds about 20 pictures, then went on facebook, and found nice candid pictures for all the family members. I printed them out in black and white, and put them in the frames. I made sure all of her children, and grandchildren were accounted for, so she had a picture of everyone in the family. When I gave that to my FMIL she was thrilled. She has it on display in her living room now.
For my MIL's last birthday, we gave her a gift card for the local movie theater, and a gift card for a restaurant. She and my FIL had a date night on us.
I'm a HUGE fan of homemade gift baskets that you can personalize for each person? Does she love to cook? Maybe assemble a cute new apron (you can never have too many!) a new cookbook, and a whisk together in a cute basket?
Tell me what she likes and I can help you think of things to put in the basket.
She does love cooking(gourmet,scratch), girlscouts(leader), gardening, pedicures, scrapbooking/artsandcrafts, she's a student who does online classes..sorry it is so hard to think! She has collections, such as Shirley Temple Dolls. She's really religious and Catholic.

I just posted about needing ideas for my BIL's girlfriend.
Well I also need suggestions for what to get my MIL for her birthday too! It's coming up, too. I have gotten her flowers numerous times and am sick of getting that for her. SHe gave me a dress and a $50 gift card to Kohls, as well as a card that said how she thought of me as her real daughter.
So any ideas???
