    Okay Bees,

What do you think?  Does this look cheap?  What should I do to make it more elegant?  I'm trying to make sure that I keep in the peacock theme...I'm open for any criticism or help that you can give...HELP!!!

If you made it smoother and more round then it would look better I think and maybe chose green and blue rather than purple and blue it would seem more peacock-ish. What is the green ribbon thingy on top? I can't tell in this picture.

i think you should stick with only two colors that blends together or make it smother as toffe said

i still don't care for that ribbon thingie with the knots?  I love everything else about it... especially if you make the pomander a bit rounder...

I agree with crebre. Make it rounder and maybe get rid of the ribbon with the knots and it'd be much better.

with the right lighting/event place the purple/blue/peacock thing looks nice, but the dark green ribbon (sort of like an Army green) clashes with the bright colors.

I don't mind the shape, but do prefer Martha Stewart's poms- that could just be personal opinion.

     Overall, it's pretty.

definately make the ball tighter and i would get rid of the black thing on the top - its distracting. i can see the look you are going for - i would stick with the blue and purple though....

I actually really like it now.. I'm not sure if it needs to be tighter. Not sure how that would be accomplished.. but I like the color scheme.

However, if you're going for a peacock theme you may consider making the ball a jade green, a darker turquoise or black and removing the purple completely. I like the purple though.

I like it now a lot as well :D it looks so fun and fresh (totally a color scheme I'd use :D) on the left of the picture it looks as if the puff isn't as uniform as the rest, i think that's what we mean by make it tighter, make it a bit more uniform, are they flowers or tissue paper?

something like this one... can you hang it on a chair? it may be the angle of the camera?

the revised pix looks much nicer! good job.

i personally like blingbling looking centerpieces so i would stick pearl pins or crytal pins sporadically around the flower ball.  it makes it fancier.

I would recommend trimming the peacock feathers, they look a bit messy and I think having them a bit more clean would help!

I'm very interested in making it look more "rounded".  DIY peeps, help!  How do i make them look more rounded and perfectly contoured?

It looks good now with the dark ribbon removed. Just work on making it neater, aka, rounder.  Great job!

You're on the right path! I agree with trimming the feathers, or maybe just smooth out the stragglers there. I think adding a few crystals would be pretty too but be careful with how many since it could wind up looking like Moulin Rouge. I have no idea how the heck you make these, but could you try glueing your flowery things onto a round foam ball from Michaels? That way it would be perfectly round and maybe save yourself some headache! One other thing but what about just cutting the bottom of the ribbon on one angle rather than the V? I think it would be simpler and a bit more modern to go with your funky feathers and colours. I love the purple with the feathers by the way!

I like that you took off the black ribbon.  Looks good!  :)
