I just found out today that the county I’m getting married in, weddings are only allowed on the beach before 8:30am and after 5pm. We were going to do an 11am wedding, so now we are probably moving it to 5pm.
Luckily we only have a handful of family and close friends that are going to the wedding. And by some ironic miracle, when Future Mother-In-Law made the invitations she accident left the time off, she offer to redo them, but I told her not to; that everyone that was going would already be well-informed of the plan. Amazing how things work out like that.

My contract states that we cannot throw flower petals or bird seed on the beach, which sucks because I wanted the ceremony setup to include an aisle of flower petals leading up to the arch…
Also- if it rains, they have a “backup ceremony location”, which means we would be married inside thier restaurant (my worst fear) plus they get to charge us a whopping $500 for it!
I think a sunset ceremony would be beautiful 🙂

@rachgirl82: Off topic, but I just saw this idea: For the flower petal lined aisle could you do one where the flowers (artificial) were already attached to the runner? Where I am going, if we throw the petals they have to be cleaned up immediately after the ceremony so I’m making 2 small runners where the petals are already attached so I can just have someone pick them both up with no fuss.

@crislen: Hey, thanks! The resort where I’m having my wedding is a SUPER popular place for weddings & they even have thier own wedding blog website that includes photos from previous weddings… I saw recently on there where the bride did exactly as you described. It’s a great idea- right now I’m debating doing this or maybe lining the aisle in colored starfish…
