I keep seeing pictures of beach weddings with beautiful ceremony altars – e.g. simple wooden structures or trellises – and am wondering where people get these? Can they be rented or do you generally have to purchase, and from where?
I am also thinking about an aisle runner, but with all the wind on the beach, I am wondering how we’d get anything to stay down. Suggestions on a good material to use for beach ceremony aisle runners and/ or how to keep the aisle runner in place??

Of all the beach weddings I have officiated, none had aisle runners. The brides just had their dresses altered to top of shoe length. In my opinion aisle runners only work well on hard surfaces, like sidewalks or flooring. The archways are usually rented from a party rental place and decorated by members of the wedding party.

We have just begun to plan our Elopement / Destination Beach Wedding… from what I’ve found out so far, Beach Wedding accessories come from one of two sources… either via your Officiant or thru a Florist.
As there will just be the 2 of us, we aren’t looking for much… thinking an arbour or arch as a possibilty for a back-drop
I have seen a few places that offer aisle runners, for a beach type setting they seem to be anchored in place with some beachy type decor (ie conch shells etc)
Hope this is helpful,
