I had everything planned out.
I was going to have my ceremony on the waterfront on the sand, and then walk back some feet to the Venue. My Venue is practically on the beach but im not allowed to have my ceremony on the sand :-/ The Venue offers a side patio with a patch of grass for the Ceremony(which is extra) but im really not all to thrilled about it….
Does anybody know what beaches/locations allow Wedding Ceremonys on the Sand?
I understand you need a permit for some, but which ones?

I was initially planning on a beach wedding myself. The LA County Dept. of Beaches and Harbors deals with beach wedding details.
Generally I think you can get married on any LA County beach, but definitely call and make sure. Good luck!

@MissV2008: La Palapa in Long Beach. Our friends absolutely got married on the beach, it was beautiful and required almost no decoration. then they had a banquet hall for the reception.

So this is the view of the venue from the sand. You see how perfect that is!
Heres the lawn that they offer for the ceremony, its located directly in back of the facility. Don’t get me wrong its nice and it over looks the water, but its just simply not what I had in mind.
Thank You 🙂
This is in San Pedro, which is part of LA County so i guess i might just have to give the dept. a call and get some more info.

@MissV2008: is that officially where you have picked? like, signed the contract? you don’t seem too happy about it. if you haven’t signed the contract, i’ll send you the link to my friend’s wedding so you can see everything there.
