I think straight up Bahama beachy would be pretty odd in the freezing bits of winter (sorry!), but you could totally pull of a Cape Cod Christmas feel so that it seems season appropriate, if you like that kind of style.  Seashells in Christmas wreaths, sparkly nautical ornaments, etc.

    So jealous of your honeymoon!

Oh, also, that’s just my random opinion, if Bahama beachy theme is what you’re set on, then go for it!  People may find it odd, but eh, screw it, do what feels right to you. ;P

I think it’s kind of cute. I’d love to go to a beach-themed wedding right now (as it is 30-something degrees.)

Are you by any chance on the east coast, where your FMIL could get to the Bahamas by cruise?

@babycakesconni:  I know two of the things are tied right now, but I would stick with the beach theme. Its not your fault you cant do it in the summer, so you should be able to have the theme you want. It doesnt seem tacky to me, and it would be fun. WIshful thinking… haha Good luck!

I had a revelation the other day.  MY bridal party consists of a bridesmaid, a maid of honor AND a man of honor.

I state this to my FI and mom and they’re both like, “You can’t have both…he’s just a bridesman…”

What about people who have 2 MOH’s or 2 BM’s b/c they have several siblings?  My response to them both was, “Sure I can, I can do WHATEVER I WANT.  It’s my wedding!”

I didn’t even mean to sound snotty, but I just thought about it – if I wanted an all male bridal party, SO BE IT!

In short lol, if you’re comfortable with a beach themed indoor wedding, DO IT!!  I like unconventional!

@babycakesconni:  I think it’d be a great theme! It would help people escape cold reality and would really be something to remember. 🙂

I think it’s cute 🙂 My best friend recently had a winter themed wedding in October. It was 70 outside and we still had a lovely winter wonderland theme… so fun 🙂
