Well, if i was flying to Key West, I’d naturally bring my own. And then be like ‘oh i have another to bring home’. Not to mention, I’m sorry but is the $5 beach towel nice? Because I’ve had some unpleasantly scratchy ones at hotels that I would NEVER EVER want to use. They hurt so bad when you’re sunburnt! Maybe a bottle of wine and some snacks or something would be more appreciated, and you could make your own label.Or bottles of aloe vera? LoL. OK, no liquids that you can fly home.

It depends on the quality i say. But I’d prefer something you can use while you’re there, then you don’t have to worry about flying it home.

I would appriciate it because I’m sure I would not think to bring a towel with me and can always use an extra towel. Taking a beach towel home may be more trouble than it is worth though, beyond space in a suitcase, beach towels carry a lot of sand that I most likely would not want to put near the rest of my clothes. I would be afraid guests would leave them behnd and then your efforts would be wasted. Maybe somethink key lime? I would love to get a slice of frozen key lime pie from the Blonde Giraffe. 🙂

Perhaps you can offer multiple options at your welcome dinner (if you’re having one, that is!): a stack of beach towels for people who might have forgotten one, a snack kit for people that just like snacks, or a bundle of newspapers and interesting reads for people that will read everything in sight…?  Then you cover everyone’s "beachy" needs!

I think towels are GREAT.  Even you already have one, there’s no harm in getting another one!  Snack boxes/welcome bags are good too but I love personalized gifts that can be used again and again.

If they are cute (and big enough) I would like it, but then again, I live on the beach.  Maybe consider if your guests have occasion to really use a beach towel (other than at your DW) and if you have older guests who don’t frequent beaches or pools would like it.  I think it is cute idea but if most of your guests are not from an area on the water they might file it in the ‘huh?’ category of favors.

I like the towel idea because I always forget but agree with an earlier post.  I would make sure it’s of good quality.

Target always has nice quality cheap beach towels. I think it’s a cute idea. We’re doing a beach vow renewal and towels were one of my welcome bag ideas, because I’m afraid people won’t bring them. They’re expensive in the tiny town we’re having our event too!
