I’m doing a beach theme this year. We’re also having 8 person tables, but mine is inside during the day. I am keeping it simple with just a vase with some white hydrangeas.

A filled vase should be ok in the wind; I think it would look pretty if the table was lighted underneath. You could try a tall vase with submerged orchids, I like the look, it’s tropical, and when it’s full of water, the vase won’t move.

We did something really simple like this! Now, of course, this isn’t outside but you get the idea! Lol

How about a white hydrangea in a conch shell? It would be heavy enough not move and would look simple and beautiful.

No problem…I have so many ideas but only one wedding! Darn! lol

Just thinking…maybe a starfish propped up against it too would be pretty.

We had a beach wedding and it was VERY windy, but our floral centerpieces were jsut fine. We were under a tent right by the shore (like 15 feet at the most), and the sides of the tent were open. I personally think tables look really sad and empty without centerpieces. You could also consider bowl vases willed with sand, shells, starfish, and a flameless piller candle.

If you put sand in the vases, it will make them heavier and they won’t move.   You could use colored sand and/or candles too.
