My MOH and I went dress shopping on Saturday and I fell in love with the Mon Cheri Rhiannon.  Monday I had off from work and was driving by so I decided to stop into David's Bridal since I'd never been.  I tried on a few dresses and the ST9637 was gorgeous on and seemed so similar to the Rhiannon to me.  I also fell for another Galina dress so now I am all kinds of confused.  Price really isn't an issue but I am frugal to the core and always swore that paying tons of money for a dress you'll wear once is ridiculous so I'm leaning towards the cheapest (although honestly it may be my favorite).  What do you think?  Don't the Rhiannon and the ST9637 look almost identical (but $300 price difference)???  Which do you like best?

I agree, the first two look pretty much identical...

but I love the last one for a beach wedding, it just looks more floaty and light. And you love it too? And its the least expensive? I say you have a winner!

Honestly...all 3 of them are gorgeous so it would have to be your personal preference. I think 1 and 2 are similar enough that you could choose either and have the same overall look for your wedding. I am frugal as well and got my DW dress at David's Bridal =)

The top two dresses do look very similar, but if you've seen both in person, I'm sure there are differences in fabric, color, etc. If you are leaning towards the less expensive one, I would make sure you've looked carefully at the fabric, detailing, etc. in all types of light.

It would help to see pics of you in the dresses. Did you get any?

They all look pretty similar.  I think it depends most at this point how the fabric looks in person.  I bought a Mon Cheri myself, and I think you can tell the difference between the fabrics in something just a little more expensive.  That said, in the picture, I do like the Rhiannon a bit more than the Galina Signature.  I'm not in love with the third one at all.

I tried on the Galina T9389. It's a beautiful dress. I think it's perfect for a beach wedding, and if you really like it, the cost is an added bonus.

Another thing to consider for a beach wedding is the train. If I remember correctly, the Galina T9389 only has a sweep train, so it might be easier to manage on the sand.

They are all beautiful dresses though! Imo, you can't go wrong!

The first two look identical to me. I can't say that I like the third one as much; it looks like it wouldn't be flattering in the stomach. However, there's no way to tell without a picture of you in the dress. I'd say go with the one you love best!

My sister attempted pictures with the Rhiannon but they didn't fall for her fake texted ;-)  so sadly no pictures.  The only quality difference in the Rhiannon was the built in bra support and a heavy feel to the material but since it will be the end of May outside I may want a lighter feel.  Both are chiffon but the last one is organza and chiffon and I LOVED the feel of that dress on.

I like the last one the best for a beach wedding, and that price is great.

Is is just me, or do the first two look exactly the same? Maybe its just the pictures, I dunno.

I was recently at a resort in Jamaica and saw literally a dozen couples get married during my stay (that's when I got engaged!).

The ceremonies were not incredibly long, and the actual distance on the sand that the bride had to cover was very short - much shorter than say a traditional aisle walk.

I don't really think the length of the train is a huge consideration - unless it is a heavy cathedral-length train (the gowns you have selected look like they have light chapel-length trains).

And despite all that, I think that the shoes you choose would have a greater impact on your  mobility (for lack of a better term) than the train of the dresses in this post.

I know Ziipylef.....as soon as I tried on the David's version I was thinking "do they carry Mon Cheri here?" but the embellishment on the waist is slightly different and the material of the Mon Cheri is slightly heavier (and has a built-in bra).
