So my FI and i have been toying with the idea of a DW, but I REALLY have my heart set on wearing my moms mantilla veil. Do yall think a mantilla veil is too formal for the beach? It seems a little out of place, but I dont want to part with it! lol I guess Im asking for validation hehe...thanks!Beach wedding: veil or no veil : wedding 74332.mantilla 2Dveil 2D2

Is it a long veil? Weddings on a beach are almost ALWAYS windy, I've seen 3 and every.single.time. the veil flew off. No lie.

I think that you should wear it since you have your heart set on it: and it will be borrowed and old. So what if it doesn't match exactly to a theme/idea you imagined. It's better to have extra special touches that you will remember years from now. Wear it ;)

I think it would be okay. How long is the veil? If it is cathedral length... then yeah, that might be an issue. But if it is elbow length or shorter and you pin it REALLY WELL, you should be okay. Just do a test run the day before your wedding. Throw your hair in a bun and put on your veil and see how it holds on the beach. I think some shots of your veil blowing in the wind could be beautiful.

As long as it is waltz-length (it doesn't get to the ground) you can definitely wear it
