<span style=”font-size: 7.5pt; font-family: ‘Verdana’,’sans-serif'”>I’ll be getting married on the beach in the Florida Keys in 5 months. I’m short and my fiancée is at least 8 inches taller than me. I want to wear wedges if possible but not sure if I’ll be able to walk down the aisle. <span style=”font-size: 7.5pt; font-family: ‘Verdana’,’sans-serif'”>Has anyone worn wedges on the beach? If so, how did it work out?????<span style=”font-size: 7.5pt; font-family: ‘Verdana’,’sans-serif'”> Anyone know of any dressier looking wedges??????

I am getting married on the beach as well but am wearing flat flip flops for the ceremony.
I did wear heals for our engagement pictures and they actually worked very well! They were the kind with the square heal though. I think as long as you have a big enough heal/wedge, you will be fine.

I am also getting married on the beach, but I have the opposite problem–I am a good 4 inches taller than my fiancee. So I will not be wearing shoes during the ceremony. I thought about wearing slave jewelry. I think it’s pretty…however, no one would ever see it. I might buy it anyway!
My best friend got married on the beach as well, and she did wear flip flops, but after the cermony. She and her fiancee were barefoot throughout the ceremony, which I thought was fine. [attachment=226233,23186]

Sherrlyn of http://www.BorkgrenPhoto.net says …If you really want to wear wedges then you could have some people roll the sand just where you will be walking to make it compact. Just give yourself the time to try it our a few times first and see how it feels. You don’t want to end up on your face. I think it is probably very cute that you are so much shorter. We’ll be on the beach, too, most likely. I like the idea of the jewelry! I had planned to wear flip flops (obviously ) but it breaks my heart to not have sweet shoes for my day. So I’ll probably be barefoot on the sand, and then change into some killer heels later.
P.S. – I’m the same height as my fiancee, and asked him how he would feel about me being taller than him in our wedding photos….he didn’t care, and is actually excited that I’ll be investing in new heels…he loves it when I wear them.

I did the jewelry thing and wouldn’t have done it any other way. I made "shoes" for me and my girls and they all loved them.
