We just bought a new king bed too! We had to buy new stuff and we picked this. It was normally $350, but we got it for $97 on Christmas Eve. We thought it was still pretty without totally emasculating my husband, in the lavendar set I liked lol

This is our bedding (although we returned the tan blanket because our cat would have destroyed it). I love how clean it looks:

Oh, here's my Restoration Hardware bedding, bought before their big redesign with the more faded colors.  Next time around, I'm going for white and blue/gray.

We have this from Target... it's inexpensive and I had to hand-steam the entire thing, but now it looks fabulous :)

@mwitter80: Funny about emasculating your husband with a lavendar set. Mine is so tolerant, I have our bedroom in purple and our bathroom in (very manly) black and white + blush pink accents. I guess he gets the living room in navy blue? Plus he prefers for the stuff other people see to be more masculine than our bedroom... haha

@MrsWrangler: My husband is very opinionated about the way things look. He's very particular in making sure that our house represents both of us. At times it's totally annoying. I always say, "You're a man! You're not suppose care!" But he does.

@mwitter80: Well, nice that he cares! I usually OK it with my husband before I turn our whole room purple, so I think he just wants to be included but doesnt necessarily care what I do with it in the end.

@MrsWrangler: You're better off that way trust me. DH even cared about our floral centerpieces at the wedding. The florist thought he was great. I did not think as highly of him during that process lol.

Here's our bed from Pottery Barn! Unlike the photo, we went with porcelain blue sheets and a red Hanna quilt, white sheets don't cut it in our house lol. We also have dark mahogany antique furniture, light blue walls and a king sized down comforter over our queen bed to get the nice draped look and so we don't have to fight over covers.

@kc3636: I'm glad you posted this! I'm having trouble deciding on bedding myself!

We're leaning towards Pottery Barn, since we have store credit there, but we can't decide.

Here are a few we're considering...

    Bella Paisley (my fav?)

Bedding : wedding bedding Pb Bella Paisley

Sienna Paisley (this is the one we registered for, but we likely it a little less in person...still nice though)

Bedding : wedding bedding Sienna Paisley

    Lewis Paisley (hub's fav)

Bedding : wedding bedding LewispaisleyBedding : wedding bedding Lewis Paisley

Any thoughts? We haven't painted the bedroom yet, but the other rooms in our house are light tan, darker tan, blue/grey, and light green...

@78h20: LOVE the colours of the lewis! My room is currently BM HC87(which i love and i wanted to find bedding that would ideally work with the colour) based on the online pic i think it would go nice with it. Thanks for sharing!

@kc3636: Oh good, I'm glad that helped! :) I think your wall color would look good with the Lewis as long as you have some other color pillows/blankets/sheets on the bed so that it's not all grey-taupe. I will definitely consider that paint color if we go with the Lewis! Most of our other colors are BM and we've been happy with them.

I am really not a fan of matchy matchy bedding... So I stay away from the "bed in a bag" kits.

I got my duvet cover from Bed Bath and Beyond, and actually got all of my pillows, sheets, and my bedskirt there too.

However, I drew from several different bedding sets so there are lots of complimenting patterns and colors without looking too blah.

I made my own set out of these different ones.

Good luck, I would definitely check out Bed, Bath, and Beyond's website. THey have a ton of stuff!

@missdaredevil: i actually have the barbara berry set at home right now! Lol The lattice print isnt quite working for me but i do like the bluey grey quilt! My hubby and i really want something a little more luxiourous feel to it as our old bedding had a nice sheen to it and we really liked that look!

This is mine! I actually just ordered it because in our new apartment I loved the wallpaper in our bedroom but didn't have bedding that matched so I contacted the interior designer who staged our apartment and asked her what bedding she used in the open house and she gave me the link! Thankfully it was on sale! :)

We just received ours as a wedding present, it's from Bed Bath and Beyond. Just put it on our bed this weekend and I love how light and springy it looks! We skipped the matching sheets and toss pillows, though.

This is ours. We got it at Macys. It was 400 dollars originally and it was way more than what I wanted to spend. I bought a cheaper one on an advace sale (sale was on Wed. I bought it on Monday) So I went to pick it up on the day of the sale, and I couldn't believe what my eyes were seeing. This bedding set was on sale and it would cost me about 10 dollars more than the one I had bought. So I went to the sales clerk and ask for an exchange. They did the exchange but turns out someone had mistakenly put the wrong price tag on the bedding so they gave me this bedding for the fraction of the price! Yay!
