Oh no! At least you know what it is now!

I do highly recommend those Aveeno bath packets when your skin gets super itchy. You dump it in, and your bath smells really good (kind of homey and natural, yes, like a big warm bowl of breakfast) and it softens your skin and soothes it. In fact I want to go take one this weekend. Anyways, then of course you dab on tons of ugly calamine pink goop. Sexy! Be careful where you put the calamine, i know that goes without saying, but pox can spread to your eye and other soft glands on your body, including *down there*. That's no fun. I had some on my EYEBALL of all places. It hurt to just blink. It does go away tho =(

Use the time to get some wedding stuff done! Hit weddingbee, watch tv. Consider it a mini vacation even though you are sick and are surely wishing you weren't.

If your FI hasn't had it, he probably will. Boo. If he HAS (hopefully?), then he can baby the hell out of you! Soup? Sprite? Ginger ale? Thanks. Rub my feet? Awww you're so sweet Tongue out

Chicken Pox are the worst. Granted I was in preschool when I got them. On Valentine's Day. For real. I missed my first school v-day. Who knows, I could have missed out on the first true love of my life that week... bummer

    Good luck!

    Oh No!!!!  Chicken pox!

Just do your darndest to not itch it!  Wish you healing asap!

when I was a little girl and had it, my mom made me wear these silly cotton gloves so i wouldn't scar myself from itching the scabby areas.  Wise mom actually b/c I itched like mad.

Can you call your doc and get a prescription strength topical solution which would numb the itching when and if it starts?  Just a thought.

That sucks!!! Hopefully you get over it quickly.  Although since you're not actually "sick" like feeling crappy and throwing up, etc. you can look at it like a little vacation from work and such.  Enjoy the week (as much as possible without being scratchy) and do stuff for you!!  Sleep in, watch tv all day, come hang out with us, get some projects done.  It'll be fun!

Luckily, My Fi has had the chicken pox. He's just getting over shingles...and that is how I got them (damn shingle-germ covered laundry!!!). I am lucky enough they don't itch a lot, mostly hurt. The few that itch aren't bad enough to worry about. I think I'm being pretty good. = ) Unfortunatly I have to take 4 pills at a time full of a chicken pox concentrate 5 times a day to speed up this little process. They kinda make my tummy hurt, and since I'm 20 I have flu symptoms to go with it (at least that's why the doctor said I was feeling so gross). Not fun. Thanks for all of the support ladies. = )
