Can a MOD help me out here? A bee has posted pics of my DIY project to make money in the classifieds. The post is here. Please delete her post for this extremly RUDE and absolutely ridiculous behavior. I did not spend almost 20 hours of my time making my table numbers for someone else to steal my photo and try to say it is there work. Do not buy anything from thefuturemrs.morgan.

Wow. You would think she would at least use a different site than the same one she stole them from.
How do I report her? I do not want to have to delete all my DIY projects because some low life is stealing photos. The bee will not allow me to "flag" her post with my photo. I am wicked pissed off
I think you need to message a MOD directly.
Taking down your pics won't help because she probably already has them saved on her desktop.
Send a message with the link and which pictures are yours to the Support team (upper left corner of the screen next to Ideas)
Wow. People are creepy, I hope the mods take care of it.
As an aside, how did you find it 2 minutes after it was posted!?!
@TheFutureMrsLamkin: like MrsSl82be said, please post to Support. Include links to anywhere you've found her using your photos, specify which photos are yours, and give us a link to where you've posted the photo (where she copied it from) so we can verify that it's your photo.
Thanks, and sorry about this!
Woooooow, but I guess anyone can do that these days as long as it's not reserved, copyrighted, etc. It's a damn shame and pretty scary.
@daydreamwanderer:Posted in support. Thank you
@MissPumpkinPie:True, my photo is not copyrighted, however, this is on the same site! Trying to pawn off someone else's work is low. The bee is no place for those kind of people.
Photos should always be credited. The original comment/ad didn't say the numbers were an example. They said the numbers were availble.
It is actually not automatically OK to appropriate content found on the internet. Copyrights afford legal protection. But using someone else's work and failing to cite it is still plagiarism/theft.
Handy link about using photos from the internet.
I am confused about this post. Why is the entrepeneural bee doing anything wrong? Granted she chould have credited your design but is she taking away from your day? Is she doing something specifically to you?
@retreadbride:yeah, pissing me off by placing my photo in her ad claiming that she is selling the numbers. I'm all about inspiring others with my DIY projects, which is why i posted them. However, do your own work and post your own pictures, especially when you're trying to sell them? That's just false advertising and deception to anyone who wishes to purchase from her.
She took the OP's picture and passed it off as her own work. She should have asked the OP first if it was ok the use the pic, and only THEN, should she have used it. She should have also given the OP credit for HER work, instead of passing it off as her own.
It's just a cheap and sketchy thing to do - especially on the same forum!
Now she claims that she did give me credit in her ad, and that she didn't do anything wrong.
I'd like to keep my projects up to inspire other Bees, but i will be deleting all of them. This really angers me for i have made these for other Bees and plan on doing so again after my wedding. So insanely rude.
@TheFutureMrsLamkin: based on your last comment this real issue is you are in business compettion? you are making these items, and she is making these items?
I didn't see a spot where she gave you credit when I looked a few minutes ago.
What about replacing them with photos that have a watermark thingy (I don't know what it's called) on them? Just in the corner.
@retreadbride:Bottom line is, again, the photo is of my work, not hers. You cannot use someone else's work and try to say it is your own. I am done explaining now.
do not delete your photos. admins will need to be able to look at your old post of the photo so that they can see you posted it first and that it's yours. it's your proof, basically.
@retreadbride: It doesn't matter if it's business or not. If I work hard on something for 20 hours, post a picture, and someone else uses that picture to say "Hey! Look what I can make!" that's just wrong.
I don't think you should have to delete all of your photos. I think this is probably a fairly isolated case, and hopefully the mods will address it with her.
Sorry this is happening to you! But don't feel you have to delete all of your fun work. Other brides can use it as inspiration, as you intended.
@rosworms:Her post has already been deleted, but I'm not playing this game with bees like that floating around here.
@galloway111:exactly. I didn't understand why i had to explain that to anyone...???
NM you just responded to me while i was typing this.
@TheFutureMrsLamkin: I flagged this post to bring a moderator's attention to the situation.
Once a photo is on the web its out there forever. Case in point. I sold my first dress online and since then I have seen MY body/my dress sold at least 4x. I just considered it a compliment. Whoever was selling the dress thought I looked better in it than they did.
@Gemstone:It has already been resolved. Her post was deleted, and I deleted my photos.
@retreadbride:That's a completely different scenario. And imitation is the highest form of flattery, but make your own products before you try to sell someone else's.
@TheFutureMrsLamkin: Usually the mods like to know what's going on in the community. Just wanted you to know they'll be aware. :)
I honestly don't understand why you think this is okay.
@retreadbride: that's great, but the difference is you did not create the dress. see?
@retreadbride: That's an entirely different scenario.
I deal with photo and copyright a lot in my line of work. I hear, "once its on the internet, it's free" quite a bit. This is not true although it is a common misunderstanding. Atalante's link explains it very well.
@atalante:great link! I think this is something the Bee should have up for all to see.
@TheFutureMrsLamkin: By no means do I think it's right though. I was just simply saying.
