Just curious...I want to know! I am always afraid that others won't wear costumes. I haven't dressed up for Halloween in years.

I work on Halloween (at a school district) so I have the opportunity to dress up. I'm going to be Kate Middleton. I've got cute heels, a cute floral dress, a white church hat, and a (fake) British accent--no, I'm joking. I'm doing it because so many tell me I resembe like her and I really do admire her as a person. I guess it doesn't hurt that i have an English heritage on my father's side of the family with a very English last name, LOL!

Tried to find photos that will give you the idea!

I'll let you be the judge of it:

Bees, are you dressing up for Halloween? : wedding halloween dress up 1 costumes Kate

Yes I am dressing up! At work tomorrow, I'll be dressing as Kim Kardashian - cute skirt and top, platform heels, fake eyelashes, full makeup, and my hair will be curled. I also want to buy a ring pop to wear on my hand, since my 1.92 cttw ring would never be good enough for Kim K... haha

For this weekend when we go out, not sure what I'll be!

Also, @KnisleyToBee: you do look like Kate Middleton! Perfect idea!

We're going to a haunted house on Saturday and celebrating Halloween early. One of my friends is dressing up as zombie Marilyn Monroe, and I'm planning to paint my face like a sugar skull.

The whole fam dresses up. I'll be a witch, SO is going as Jason Voorhees (Friday the 13th movies), our oldest boy (11) is going as Ghostface from the Scream movies, and our little one (3) will be Superman.

    We're not very original, lol.

My best costume ever, though, was my senior year of HS. (1999/1999, so it was still in the news)  I went as Monica Lewinsky. Embarassed I had a blue dress, put a white stain on it, and used my nametag from my afterschool cashier job, and taped on a made up White House Staffer badge, with "M. Lewinsky" typed on it. I won best costume at the party that night.

Going out of state for a baby shower this weekend (not a costume party) and Monday night I have graduate class.  No Halloween for me this year, due to class I can't even hand out candy :(

We're having a Halloween Party Saturday night. *Note: I am broke and boring* I was going to be a witch, but I figured that was kinda boring. So I'm borrowing my Mom's costume from last year (she works at a school) so I'm going to be a 50s girl - pink poodle skirt, black and white shoes, glasses, etc.

We were going to be Mario and Princess Peach but he and his brother wanted to be the Blues Brothers. Undecided But I digress. I made him promise me a couple's contest the next time we do Halloween since we'll be married. :p

I'm going to a Halloween party tonight. I couldn't think of what do dress up as, and I didn't want to buy a cheap costume. Then it donned on me...I have a western shirt, boots, jeans and a Stetson, so cowgirl it is!

Sounds great, everyone! Wish I had time to respond to everyone's posts..they all sound so neat and creative. Wish you all a safe and fun time whether or not you dress up or even celebrate Halloween!

    P.S.

I've never been a fan of Halloween, but my FI's family has a little pumpkin carving contest (the kids drop pennies into a cup next to their favorite pumpkin) and then they get their candy. Seeing all the cute little kids having fun with their families is worth it! :) Whoever wins gets a "prize"--sometimes in cash, gift card, etc. It's actually really fun and I look forward to it every year!

I'm not going all out, just putting on a pig hat I have and wearing pink. My baby girl also has a piggy hat so she'll be a pig too, and we have a piggy costume for my pup from last year. I have a think for pigs :)

We're supposed to go out tonight and have a couples costume lined up BUT.....FI just worked a 12 hour day and will probably be tired (he's on his way home now).  I personally don't feel like going out....so on the off chance that he's NOT too tired, I have dressed myself up VERY sexy in hopes that he won't mind staying in, hahaha!  I'm re-using my slutty french maid costume from ages ago that he's been asking for lately.  Here's to staying in! ;)
