    Hi ladies,

If you're doing a plated dinner for your reception, what is on your menu?

Otherwise - as a guest, what would you choose for your plated dinner?

If you have your RSVPs in...what did people pick?

Buffet brides, I know you all have it all haha ;-)

I've never been to a wedding with it, but I'd love a pasta option (veg or not). I feel like at most venues (not the really high end/gourmet ones, of course), a chunk of meat (chicken breast/beef) is really hard to do for 150+ people at the same time. I feel like pasta would hold up better.

That's actually one of my main reasons for going buffet, even though I like the formality of plated - I just have never had WOW food at a wedding when it was plated. It was also so-so, not super hot, and I don't blame them - it is extremely hard to prepare that many meals to go out at once.

I usually pick the chicken option when I go to weddings with chicken or beef.

I'd like to know how many options everyone is giving!

We are doing chicken, salmon, and a vegetarian samosa. Our caterer says that when given the choice, 80% of the people will get steak and the steak is the most expensive thing for us. So we opted for 3 equally priced entrees and expect about 45% chicken, 45% salmon, and 10% vegetarian for the adult entrees. There will also be chicken tenders for the kids.
