Weddingbee boards

So I love the show Gilmore Girls. And I absolutely love the dress Lorelai picks out for her wedding she was supposed to have.

2 problems. Monique Lhuillier designed it so it's WAY out of my price range. And it's 3 to 4 years old so finding it will be close to impossible (I've looked on ebay already)

I doubt there will be anything similar in my price range but I thought I would ask.

A friend of mine wore this dress at her wedding, in white. I could ask her if she'd be willing to sell it, if you want. It was a stunning dress. What size are you?

How different is the white from the one in the pic?

The one in the picture is a blush/light pink with a cream sash.  The white one was a brilliant diamond white.  Both are gorgeous, I'm sure.  Good luck with your search!

Wow the Priscilla and the Watters are both very similar.

Now its off to try and find a used one because the Priscilla is $$$ and the Watters has no price which is never good lol!

Hhmm I wonder if alterations could add tulle over the Watters skirt because that's the only thing it's missing...

The more I look at this Watters dress the more I fall in love.

My hearts going to be broken when I find out it's like $1000 or something.

Just googled it and it is over $1000. Oh what I would do right now for some rich relative I've never heard of to pass on and leave me in their will. Or maybe to pick up a winning lottery ticket that someone dropped. Or to find someones beloved pooch with rich owners who want to give me a hefty reward. Or oh god a JOB would be great...especially a well paying one.

Have you thought about talking to a local seamstress to see if you could get a dress custom made, I know you are on a budget but sometimes a custom made dress can be fairly reasonable. It's worth looking into at the very least! I'll keep my eyes peeled for something similar with a smaller price tag! Good luck.

Found something cute on David's Bridal (Galina Style WG9830), the bodice reminds me of the Lorelai's dress, I'd link it but it usually is seen as spam on here. Take a look, they have a bunch of new dresses in their collection (I'm jealous, I wish I would've waited a bit later).

I just saw it for sale on Once Wed!  It is still pretty expensive but it is half off.

Anne Marie by Maggie Sottero is close to the Watters gown.  The photo is black/white but you can get in all white or all diamond white.

First things first really...I need a job. Ugh. No one is hiring right now.

I know. A few weeks ago wedding planning was great.
Now its just depressing as I'm realizing how much stuff there is you need for a wedding and how much all that costs and then the tiny little amount of money we have for the wedding. Le sigh.
It'll work out though...somehow.
