Congrats! Did he have a ring the first time he prop proposed or is that the first one? It's pretty!
Awww! Such a beautiful story! Congrats :) Your ring is gorgeous and you both look so happy in the pictures!
Congrats!!! Is that a candle passing? Wondering if we may be in the same sorority :-)
@redheadem: He had it the first time but he took it back right before the event started so we could surprise everyone, we have been dating and talking about getting married for a while so everyone always checks my hands so we didnt want to chance it plus it was fun just the two of us knowing :)
@MamaMegs721: yes it sure is, I know several different Panhellenic chapters that do a form of a candle pass but I am a Delta Zeta.
I LOVE your ring, it's so different and so beautiful. I also love that you got that beautiful private proposal and a fun public one which your sorority was a part of. You are a lucky, lucky lady. Congratulations!
Congratulations! What a beautiful ring and equally lovely proposal(s)! ;) It must have been great to have one itimate, just you him and your puppy, and one public, among friends :)
Best of luck to both of you!
Wow two proposals! I like how one was public and one was private. That's awesome! And a beautiful ring as well, congratulations!
aww I love that you got a personal and a public proposal!! Very cute, you two look so happy!!
@Tickles: Ring-thank you! I wanted something different with a vintage feel (its his grandmothers diamond from her wedding ring she left to him when she passed away) proposal-I loved the two part also gave us the day to be together just the two of us and then the whole shindig later that night, Im a member of Delta Zeta <3

Hello ladies!
Unfortunately months ago I was *this* close (showing fingers pinched together) to getting that preverbial ring on the finger, however life got in the way and the now fiance lost his job and we had to wait a little longer than anticipated. But I got my dream proposal (or two - more info later in post) and a hunk of wedding planning under my belt. Cant wait to be an active bee helping and getting help from all of you!
Proposal #1:
We spent our one year anniversary (when I was 16 years old eek) at a local park dancing to the song we first danced to at a high school banquet. This November we went back to the park with our puppy to show her our spot and we walked the trails laughing and loving the time despite the troubles and bumps that slowed our trip to wedding bliss. We had gone shopping that week for rings and I was on cloud nine just thinking ok this time its close but I was not thinking 5 days close...especially when the ring i fell in love with would have taken at least a week to get set with his grandmothers diamond). when we were getting hungry for breakfast we headed back towards the car but before we got in he told me he loved me, gave so many reasons when he is normally a man of so few words. He knealt and asked the question I have wanted to hear for so many years. I was so excited about the ring I skipped the answering part and screamed "Put it on my finger!!!" he did and then asked if that meant yes..."of course yes I will marry you!"
Proposal #2:
I am a sorority girl and that night happend to be my senior Formal (which is a lot like prom) so I got to put on a beautiful gown with him in a tux and spend our first night engaged feeling gorgeous with a glow, my chapter has a ceremony where a man can propose/announce an engagement so we hid the ring from everyone until the ceremony where he got down on one knee again and this time we got pictures!!!! It was an amazing memory I will treasure forever.
more on our wedding to come!
