Mine is custom – DH made the original sketches, then took those to a jewerly designer/shop who worked with him to improve the drawing, then made a wax mold, then finally the ring. Dominion Jewelers did the setting (they’re a local shop) – DH bought a loose stone from MoissaniteCo.

The original design was by Blackman Limited on Lido Island in Newport Beach, California, but it was reset in white gold and the design changed slightly by Jerry Lindsey in Brentwood, Tennessee.

My wedding band was custom made, it’s not all that unique but to get exactly what I wanted for a good price custom was the best way to go. So many I found in stores either had smaller diamonds than I wanted even if they went further around the band and the TCW was the same..I didn’t really care about having diamonds I wouldn’t really see (between or behind my fingers) so I got this channel set band custom made…

It was made by Brian Gavin Diamonds, took me a month total to get the ring. They were great to work with and everything turned out wonderfully.

I based the ring on this CZ band and this HOF band which was one suggested to match my HOF e-ring but it cost $600 more than the band I got which has BG H&A melee diamonds for the same TCW. So overall I felt I got exactly what I wanted for a decent price.

My E-Ring with CZ band inspiration (above) and the HOF band I also liked (below)

@Sporty-Bee:  Yeah, I like the white gold more — it seems more nautical to me, lol. I think it also makes it look a little more modern — my grandpa had it commissioned for their 25th wedding anniversary in the 70s, so the original had a pretty big 70s flare to it, haha.

@Sporty-Bee:  Mine was custome made….although halos are pretty common so its not very unique or anything….other than it has a custom wrap which makes it somewhat different I suppose

Mine is a split shank halo with a princess cut center and an enhancer wrap. I had it custom made at King Jewlers in Tampa. A small local owned business…The guy there is great and a master jeweler and really knows his stuff and was excellent to work with!

@Sporty-Bee:  Have you seen this ring?

It is another bee’s, bossypants

I hope she dosn’t mind me sharing it Embarassed It’s a pink moissy center with pink diamonds and white diamonds. I LOVE IT!! It was made at Schubach’s and was my inspiration for my ring, which is this one…

They are known for their custom work and a lot of people know them for working with moissanite, but they do pretty much everything it seems! I can’t recommend them enough 🙂

@Sporty-Bee:  i have seen many rings on the bee similar to mine. DH went to a private jeweler in Manhattan, the company is called Kardella and he worked with a man named Josh. Very nice. Here is my ring that DH and jewler created
