You are a major part of his life and he wants you there. I think that his family would wonder why you aren’t there, if you choose not to go. That being said, I really think you should go.

How long have you been dating? Why on earth would they think that? This is how relationships work! You come to family events, and the more family events you come to, the more the family sees that you two are serious. It’s a good thing that they’re seeing you.

I know exactly what you are feeling.  I have felt this way many times in the past, but it is not them that you are there for, it is him, and you are right in that.  Let them see that you are willing to dig in right by his and their sides.  Can only work in your favor.

I agree that you should go. It might raise more questions if you don’t go. Plus, if he feels that way then they should probably get used to seeing you two together!

You are a couple. He bought the house with you in mind, so they (his family) ARE going to be seeing a lot of you. They should, they will be your family in the future, not just his.

Don’t over think it, it is a no brainer – go! Have fun! You’ll be left out otherwise. The only thing worse than them thinking “we see her a lot” is them thinking “why isn’t she here for him at such a special time”.
