Er, am I voting on favourite or least favourite?
DIY save the dates were pretty tough... because I decided I needed to emboss them (tiny glitter beads and a heat gun for a week) and make a sleeve for my magnets. They totally rocked - but were so unnecessary!
My pomanders to go down the aisle/for the flowergirls looked gorgeous, and no one really cared/knew that they were fake. And my friend used them in her wedding after mine. And then I sold them on eBay :D

OH, AND, I spent the time to make my own boxes for favors, tied them with a ribbon and cut out tulle to fill them a bit a leaf for each of them. Just for two chocolate truffles. That was some serious time wasted. It's just chocolate. I guess it looked good? Oh, wedding fog.

I didnt really understand the poll, but my least favorite was the 8inch round fans I made as an additional favors. it was so much work using the manual martha stewart circle cutter because I had printed the fans before cutting them. It was also a nightmare gluing the front and back of the fan together with the stick in the middle, the hot glue cooled down way to fast and made me fan lumpy. In the end I figured out a technique to hold the front and back together using a paper clip and to glue it together in stages by working my way around the circle. But in the end it was the most rewarding because people commented it on it the most and have since then asked me to make it for several other events.
I also hated hot gluing crystal flat backs on to hair sticks for each of my bridesmaids.. I shuld have used e6000 glue but wanted to avoid using it because of the fumes.
My favorite was probably the pomanders. they were the fastest to complete, and I could see it taking shape almost right away unlike my other DIYs that needed multiple steps
@bells:That's exactly the poll. Whatever you decide to vote for, explain if it was favorite or least favorite and why? That's awesome you got great feedback on something you obviously worked so hard to complete. Thanks for sharing!
My favorite project was our favors. Mr. LK and I compiled our favorite recipes and our favorite engagement photos into a cookbook and had it printed by Blurb. Then we hand wrote personal messages on the inside for our guests.
I loved making my bouquet and the rest of the flowers. It was a lot of fun to try different things, and ultimately I'm really happy with the finally product!

I'm about 10 months out, and I want to get a head start on some of my DIY projects as there are MANY I have added to my list. My co-workers have heard some of my ideas and have now nicknamed me a "Martha Stewart" bride. :) You ladies have been great with submitting your ideas and how to's. So with that said, what were your favorite and most dreaded DIY projects? Did your guests comment on some of your DIY projects? How long did it take to complete them? When you vote, explain if your choice was a least favorite or favorite in the post.
I figured this would be a helpful post for DIY brides to live and learn from the DIY disasters and successes and share links to online stores/local shops to get supplies, and any tips and tricks all in one spot. As I begin my process, I'll be sure to share. PICS would be wonderful! Thanks ahead bees!!
