Hello There … i am getting married in tropical phuket in 3 months. At first i was going for the very flowy non-bridaly type dresses… but then i said screw it i only get married once. My dress is still chiffon based and VERY light in comparison to all the others i tried on.

I am also getting married in a tropical climate and chose my dress because it’s very lightweight.

Stock photo – it’s actually a bridesmaid’s dress – just wanted to keep it simple! Our DW is more of an elopement.

Here’s the stock photo (don’t have one of me in it available at the moment) for my October beach wedding in Florida:

I had the same thought as phuketbride2014 …I’m only getting married once (let’s hope haha!) so whatever.  I went for the full wedding dress experience!

I got my dress before we changed our plans to get married in las Vegas. I loooove the dress! Just going to be super hot in it!

I wore Jenny Packham Willow. It was soooo flowy/dreamy that it was perfect for the Dominican, i thought. It was still a fancy enough dress for our venue/location but it was light and airy. I love it so much.

SellyJo:  Hey congrats, fellow DW Bride!!! 🙂  — I chose my dress because I felt fabulous in it, I wasn’t really thinking if it went with the beach wedding theme or not. I had sisters asking me if I had something already in mind beach appropriate but I simply went with what made me feel the best.    Here’s a picture of me during my first fitting. 🙂

SellyJo:  that’s so funny, that’s exactly the same as our plan. Ours will be NY too, and I’m getting ‘sorbet’ pink Jimmy Choos!

somersetdarling:  Goodness, I’m so happy I found this thread. Do you happen to have your dress at home already? I need an evening dress to wear to an event and I was just looking at this one today (the floor length version of it, actually), I absolutely love it but I’m a little nervous ordering online from the States. How’s the fabric? Does the dress hold its shape as well as in the picture? I love that it looks so structured. Oh, and how do you find the sizing, is it true to size?

mu_t:  WOW! You looked absolutely perfect! Jenny Packham is a genius.
