I’m thinking a  Jack and Jill is kind of like what we call “Stag and Does” so here goes!

First off, we never had one.  But I live in Nothern Ontario so there’s been plenty of opportunity to go to them for friends, relatives, or people we barely know, haha.

Usually the door prize is something bigger than the rest of the prizes (assuming you are having more!) e.g. a small flat screen tv, a gift certificate for dinner and a hotel room, something along those lines.  Technology is a great common ground for both men and women to be interested.  Maybe a tablet (Preferably something cheaper than an iPad I imagine!) etc.

Then usually the other, smaller prizes range from tools to soaps to gift cards to kitchen utensils, pretty much anything!

Oh, and up here we don’t offer Alcohol.  But only because that’s illegal (technically so is selling tickets for prizes, so you sell a ‘lollipop’ that just happens to come with tickets… haha, brutal, I know)

Hope that helps!  Enjoy!

@FutureMrsRR:  My ex’s mother did this for my ex and I some 21 years ago.  And to tell the truth……I don’t recall a whole lot about it other than it was kinda boring.

Sorry I can’t remember ANY details…….

When I hear Jack and Jill I think couples shower — the only one DH and I attended there were no prizes so I’m not sure what you’re talking about!
