oh my gosh! I would have flipped out & hidden out at a hotel until my FI came home!
Good job taking care of it :) lol
Oh my goodness! I would've been super nervous!
Your FI is lucky that you're so brave! Good job!
Wow, I would've flipped out. I do not do creepy crawly or flying stinging. I hope they're all gone. Any idea how they got in?
Wow!! Glad you got it all taken care of. Kudos to you for being brave.
Wow, that would have me terrified to ever go in the house again. Do you know how they got in? Maybe there is a nest in your attic or something.
oh my gosh. I have been stung by two wasps at one time and it was excruciating pain. i remember seeing stars. i hope you got rid of all of them and like above...check you attic, basements, everywhere! some can escape by hiding in a safe place like boxes, trash cans, under clothes and survive that bug bomb!
gees, you're braver than me; I'd've called an exterminator, not even made an effort to handle it myself!
we had a wasps' nest at my former job once... we got like 2 days off work because they were spraying chemicals in the building. It was awesome.
OMGoodnes!! I absolutely HATE wasps. I was stung twice in one day when I was a child so I freak out a little when I see them. I don't scream but I make sure I am not near them.
Okay, so I have a funny wasp story that's only funny because it ended up only being mildly uncomfortable for the victim in question. The husband of one of my bridesmaids was out walking their dog, and the dog got into a wasp nest. Husband thought he got rid of all of the wasps, but apparently brought a couple home with him. He and his wife were sitting outside, with her in running shorts, when she all of a sudden goes "OH MY GOD!!!!!!!" and goes tearing into the house. He finds her in the bathroom, with three yellowjackets. On. Her. Labia. He grabs two and the other starts crawling toward her anus. Thankfully, he caught that one before it made it very far.
So, @mollie - just be grateful they were "only" in your house, and not ... elsewhere! :)
Good job handling that! Ditto on what everyone else said. I've never been stung by anything, so the thought of it really scares me.
@redherring: that is the CRAZIEST story I have ever heard. I'm glad she was okay! I would be so traumatized!

My man is out of town and I came home to about 100 wasps flying around my living room last night. :****( I finally got in touch with my FI and his advice was to "kill them". I then introduced myself and asked him if we had ever met before....because the man I'm about to marry knows that this girl doesn't get along with insects. I THEN reassured him that I was not exaggerating and that there were, in fact, 100 ish wasps in our home.
I slept at the FMIL's house last night and had to set bug bombs today to try to fix the problem. I wish I could have video taped that ordeal for all of you to see....
Anyway, now I am sitting in my car, waiting for the 30 minute "air out" to wrap up, so I thought I would tell you that I have decided that I like you bees a lot more than I like real life ones.
