I posted some photos of me before in this dress, and bumped it a few times, and got 1 response. One…
The post before was just looking for other bees with the same dress though. But nonetheless, it has me wondering if people don’t like it. Is there something wrong with it that I’m not seeing? I know this was about one size too big and it was hard for her to clip it as tight as it should be, so I’m sure when it’s my true size, it’ll pull in tights and show my waist much better. I am in love with it, but haven’t bought it yet. I have a lot of time, so I’m not rushing the purchase. Don’t want regret.
Also, if you DO have photos of you in this dress, even if you didn’t buy it, please share!
It’s Maggie Sottero’s Kadee. Let me know your thoughts
(ps, I wouldn’t wear this sash with it, But I do plan to wear an eggplant coloured one with a single, small flower on it. this one was just to get an idea)
and a belt similar to this:

I really like it. My dress has a similar pattern 🙂 The only thing I’m not crazy about is the belt just because it’s such a contrasting color. Obviously if that’s your style, it’s going to look beautiful!

I think it looks beautiful on you!

The dress is really gorgeous, but it’s hard to tell if it’s flattering on you bc of the size and not seeing you in other types of dresses. It’s very beautiful, though!

It looks great! I like the flowy bottom.

I think the dress id beautiful and you look gorgeous in it. I’m not sure if that sash goes with the dress either.

It’s beautiful! I like it without the sash personally.

I think the dress is fine if you love it! It’s your dress. 🙂 If you like it on yourself, wear it! It does definitely flatter your figure, and would even more in a smaller size.
Now for my opinion. . . I’m not really a fan of the tight-over-the-hips and flaring out around the legs look. I also personally don’t much like the embroidery/flowers– they seem a bit heavy and (ugh, sorry) cheap looking. I also don’t like the bright white– ivory is much softer and prettier to my eye.
I do really like the scattering of flowers going down onto the tulle of the skirt. I absolutely love how that sort of thing looks. I’m going to do that on my dress when I make it. 🙂

It is gorgeous. It is a dress I wouldnt like on the hanger bc of the flowers but on you it doesnt look the same (in a good way).

Love your dress:) but Im not sure about the sash I don’t think it matches with your dress

I think it’s lovely on you — I love that type of skirt, very ethereal and feminine.
Personally, I like it without the sash — I think it looks much more elegant.

@lauraashley09: Thank you!! The store didn’t have a lot of options of belts for me to try on with it, but I’ll order it from somewhere else, so I can try it with a lot of different colours and see what I like. Your pattern is lovely!
@FutureMrsCooke: Thank you!
@futuremrsk18: thanks! I know! She clipped the dress in, but I think because it was only 1 size too big, it was hard to really clip it tight bc the material would either slip out of the clip, or there wasn’t quite enough extra material for the clip to grab. I’ll add a photo or two of other dresses I’ve tried and ruled out, so you can get an idea. I’m not super hour glass, but when the dress is tight and pulled in, it gives me more of that shape
@mistyeyes: Thanks!! I Know, I’m so unsure about the sash bc a lot of people have told me they don’t like the contrast.. But i’ve ALWAYS wanted to wear a belt!! I refused to try on any dress with one already sewn on bc I wanted to shop around for mine. Maybe a lighter purple or lavendar?
@Creiddylad: thanks for your input!!! I don’t think the dress was white actually. I’m pretty sure it was ivory, maybe it’s just the lighting or the flash that made it look more of a stark white… I, too, hate stark white… I think it makes material look cheaper. Speaking of cheap, can I ask what it is about the flowers taht make it look cheap? That’s a super close up, I took it more to show the sparkle…
Thanks ladies!! I know it’s 100% the style I want, Lace top, tulle bottom, dropped waist, and skirt needs to have poof! Just having a hard time committing to one!! But I think this is the one!

here’s a couple other I’ve tried, for futuremrsk18 – in other styles that I have def ruled out
this dress (the one below) is the one I had thought would be the one for months, but after trying on the Maggie, this one feels cheap in comparison and doesn’t have nearly as much sparkle. However, this shows how much better my figure will likely look in a dress that fits better:
Here’s Kadee with a belt photoshopped on.. and by photoshopped I mean I did it in Paint lol

I like it! The belt really makes it.

@chrissyb464: Thanks!!! You’re the first to say so!
