LibrarianBride:  it would be hard to remake that with the toekick gone. I would personally use it for water bottles and soda, but it sounds like you were hoping to utilize it for pantry space. Do the racks come out? You could frost the glass and change the racks, turn off the refrigeration and use it for pantry items.

You can buy plastic stuff that sticks to glass that will frost the glass. People use it for Windows and doors all the time. I would frost the glass with that stuff (so you don’t ruin it), take out the shelves (or some of them) , and use it for storage. It’s big enough to store pans or baking sheets in.

You could take it out and just put in shelves for open storage but being on the bottom that’s really not premium.

If it were mine, I would get a replacement door or cabinet and toe kick done as soon as possible. That’s a pretty standard cabinet and door so it wouldn’t be too expensive.

Personally, I love the idea of pull-out baskets.  You can use them for anything from fresh produce to extra Tea-towels.  This one is from Thomasville Cabinetry…

samanthajones01:  Is there a reason you are reviving every dead thread on decorating? The problems are long since solved.
