I’m dying to know… if after the wedding, or after things have been put in perspective, did you regret spending money on a dress other than the one you originally were going to wear? Were you stuck with the original dress, as well or were you able to sell it? Was it worth the effort?
I feel like this happens so frequently, so I’m wondering how people felt about it after all was said and done.
Excited to hear the answers!

I haven’t yet gotten married but I did change dresses. I originally found a dress at DB on my first shopping trip and fell in love with it. I put it on layaway and was making payments on it. Over the few months, I just kept having doubts and thinking that it just wasn’t the dress I always imagined and it felt more like I was wearing a pretty dress rather than a wedding dress. I wanted to feel more bridal. If I wanted my money back, I had to cancel this dress before I finished paying it off in layaway and there was only about 2 weeks left. So I made another appointment at a different store and went and tried on dresses. When I put on my dress, I just knew. I couldn’t stop smiling. I got that dress and cancelled my old one. Do I still love my old dress? Yes, I do and sometimes wonder if I should have kept it but then I remind myself how much more bridal I feel in my new dress and how it’s always been what I’ve wanted. I don’t regret it but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t think about the old dress too sometimes.
This was my old dress:
And my new dress. It’s a size too big so it fits alot tighter now.

We haven’t gotten married yet, but I also changed from my original dress. Long story short, I loved the original but when it came in it was way too big and they told me it couldn’t be altered to fit me properly because it would destroy the structure of the dress. After a long battle with Alfred Angelo, I returned it and got my money back. My new dress is a gorgeous Casablanca Couture and I”m completely in love with it. I will never regret changing the dress.
This is my original
And my new one

Not married yet, but I have no regret whatsoever about switching dresses. My first dress was simple and plain and was the same shape as every formal dress in my closet. I do feel a little guilty for spending the extra money, but not enough to diminish my excitement.
My 2nd dress (the one I’m going to wear) is stunning and makes quite a statement. It’s got a lace and ciffon top, drop waist, and a full tulle skirt with lace appliques. I can’t wait to wear it!!
