I am a size 6 wedding gown but the dress I tried on in the store was a size 12. Do you think the dropped waist will fall the same way on my body when it comes in, in the correct size?! I really loved the way it fell in the store and would hate if it was any shorter!
Please post before/after pics if you tried on a dropped waist gown that was a larger sample size and than received it in the correct size!

Mine is a trumpet style but I tried on a 10, 14, and ordered a 16 which is now swimming on me, thank god! I’m a street size 8!! All the dresses fell in the same place. The trumpet part was in the same place. At the salons I went to they said that unless you are very short they should fall pretty much the same way. If you are very short sometimes designers have hollow to hem, which means they will make the dress according to your measurements.

I have a dropped waist ballgown. They took a bazillion measurements in the salon, including the length of my torso, so the bodice still falls at the same place just above my hips.
I unfortunately didn’t think to take photos at my first fitting, unfortunately. Otherwise I would show you before and after.

I wouldnt sweat it. The bridal consultants know what theyre doing, plus you can always get it taken in and hemmed.
