I have endometriosis as well. I have good days and bad days. I did have surgery for the third time back in December 2009 that helped but it is getting worse again. I’m honestly considering going to a doctor in California that I found out about online.

I manage my pain by trying to be active. I know it’s hard but being not active gave me additional back problems that make the pain worse. I do yoga twice a week and swim aerobics once a week. I’m also on BC (the Mirena now but I was on a bunch of others continuously before).

I have talked to some people about it but since I’ve been suffering for years, it’s not something I talk about as much anymore. It is really hard to have a disease that causes so much pain but is completely invisible to anyone.

I’ve known about my endometriosis for about five years. The one thing that really helped my pain was doing yoga at least twice a week. I haven’t done yoga in quite a while now and the pain is getting out of hand again. I don’t usually talk about my pain with anyone except FI, unless it’s my period and I’m living a nightmare, then I just call my mom and cry.
