Your ring is gorgeous!!!! My engagement ring is round but I have side baguettes. My husband bought them as a set so it nests in there. So mine can’t be worn alone and nothing that can will sit flush.

I adore side baguettes, and I’m so excited to see it looks like they’re coming back in style! Beautiful examples, ladies.

I have a horizontal channel set baguette eternity to go with my vintage ring. It can be worn on its own, but there’s a slight gap when worn with my e-ring. I like that, though, I think it’s kind of glam and laissez-faire!

OP, if you want a diamond band then I think something with baguette or asscher diamonds would work wonderfully with your ring. If you stick with step cuts, I don’t think there’s any chance of competing your center stone.

Have you seen Kate Beckinsale’s set? I don’t think her e-ring has side baguettes like yours, but her’s is mismatched and looks beautiful (I think):

The design of the setting makes a very tiny gap between e-ring and wedding band, but with a thin wedding band, it’s not too prominent. I chose a 2mm white gold milgrain wedding band that matches FI’s. Still engaged, so the wedding band is still in the box right now! In the picture, the wedding band is sitting lower than the e-ring, but they do match up pretty close.

And my center stone is much smaller than yours, but here’s my “set.” I do like it as a set, although I hardly ever wear it that way–stacking’s just not my thing, so I wear the e-ring on my other hand.

FutureLadyL:  I love your princess cut! I adore baguettes and paired a plain band with it so I could rock the gap! For reference the ering is 2.1 mm and the band is 2.5 mm milgrain. They don’t lie perfectly flat but I really love the distinction of 2 rings.

FutureLadyL:  Our baguettes look similar in size. Here is my set – engagement ring was ny grandmother’s from the 1960s and we found a band that seems to match well.

Love baguette rings (I have one too)!  I plan on going for mismatched and rocking the gap.

On a sidenote, I am so happy to see such gorgeous baguettes!  I feel like they are making a comeback…

I don’t so much mind the gap for mine. It’s the height difference that bugs me. Mine seems to be set really high off my finger.

my center stone is .7…I love them and can’t wait to wear them both all the time!

FutureLadyL:  I found these on Pinterest. I do think that if you use step cuts only or step cuts mixed with rounds it won’t be distracting at all.

We got my engagement ring first, then after moving to another part of the country, went looking for a band. In my case it’s the band that has baguettes. It actually came from a set where the engagement ring looked like mine but the side stones were baguettes.
