I have had some experience with succulents, cutting them and growing. But I also think it depends on the sorts of succulents. I pick nibs from friends and family, put in a small glas of water for the roots and wait till it gets sturdier, then plant out in a pot. If it is a XMas cactus for instance, I just take some nibs from the plant itself and place it in the soil immediately. I have done this because I saw my mom doing it, and it works fine. Only noticed that it seems to not be working that well for all type of succulents though. Must also say that I have been lucky enough to grow some large sized succulents because of this method. It takes some time, but it is fun! :)

So.
We'd really love to do succulents as favors for our wedding. The shipping costs for 150+ plants, not at all surprisingly, are really, really high.
I see a lot of succulent "cuttings" around for sale though. Anyone have experience with this? How difficult is it to get the cuttings to root/thrive?
Thanks!
