What do you gals honsetly think of my tattoo. I get basically the same comments when people see it, “it’s so big” “that’s different” not very many “beautiful” or “i really like it”. I love my tattoo and I know that’s all that matters, I just want to know what you gals think of it, what’s the first thought in your head? I know it’s on me forever and I wouldn’t change it for anything. The flowers are the Cosmos Flower which is my daughter’s birth month flower and I absolutely love stars so I wanted them incorporated as well. Let me know! I do realize the large blue star on the top left is sllightly off so it will be fixed at some point.

I really like it. 🙂 I like the colors and the stars 🙂 I am star biased though ….. I have like 23 stars between all my tats

I like it. Who cares what people think.

It’s too busy for me. I prefer my tattoos simple! But you are right – it only matters what YOU think! If it fits you in your eyes then it’s beautiful. 🙂

It makes no difference to me. I like it, but I have a thing with women having big visibile tattos, especially before getting married. But again, that is a personal thing, as in, it isn’t something I would do. I think yours is pretty. But it really is your choice, you did it to your body, it doesn’t really matter what anyone says.
All that I wonder is what dress are you wearing for your big day and do YOU have a problem with how it will look if it shows.
I was watching an episode of SYTTD Atlanta and the Mother of a Bride with a really beautiful, but quite large, Dragon tatoo that went from her shoulder down her back was very mean to her daughter because while shopping the bride wanted a dress that showed off her back and her mother was just being soooooo mean about it. Eventually the bride caved and bought a coverup to wear for the ceremony.
And for the record I have 3 tats (back of neck, Left side & Right hip). I picked them because I like my tats to be a private thing.

@BushelAndAPeck: I would never, ever dream of even nicely critiquing someone elses work: #1 because I hate when people offer commentary on mine and #2 I am not a tattoo artist and am in no way qualified to give criticism, constructive or otherwise 🙂
I just got my throat/neck/chest partially shaded this weekend, and attended a professional golf tournament after, so I’m fully-aware it is not everyones taste :-p While I was getting my work done, my artist and I were planning my next tattoo…which is of Bigfoot. Bottom line: if YOU like your tattoo and it makes you happy, *I* like your tattoo 🙂

I’m going to go against the grain and say that it looks a little childish to me with the stars and swirls and dots, and would have looked much better as just a photorealistic stem of the flowers. The quality is not great–it’s not awful, but it could be better.
Then again, I hate 6 of 9 of my tattoos because they’re bad quality and bad decisions on my part (nothing too bad, but the quality sucks and really? a star with kanji tramp stamp? I was a dumb 17 year old, obviously).

I like the curve and flowers (they fit with your shoulder) but I’m more of a black ink only kind of girl. I like how the stars match the one on your neck.

If you want honesty then I’ll be honesty. I think it looks ‘young’, like a tattoo that a 16 year old girl would go get. It’s pretty but childish. I like more realistic tattoos and I’ve seen some really amazing flower tattoos. Those are pretty but more cartoony.

@vorpalette: LMAO I have one of those as well that I *clearly* got when I was 17: several musical notes going up my right hip. It looks like a drunk toddler did them, AND the treble clef is going in the exact opposite direction of the others :-p Thank GOD it was done so poorly that it’s very light and can be easily covered.

@badabing88: Ugh, seriously, what the hell possessed me to get some of these? And my MOTHER! Signing for these, but being vehemently against me getting my belly button pierced. Ridiculous. I wish I’d waited until I was effing 25.
