Alright ladies….with the wedding being less than 4 months away, I am beginning to feel stressed. I am an over planner which is a very bad thing when planning a wedding – especially during a longish engagement!! I have everything picked/ordered/made that I possibly can but am now feeling anxious having to depend on others for the final pieces. When I say others, I’m talking about my photographer who gives me very vague responses, the etsy store who is making my flowers and said they will be shipped by March but her shop now states that she is on holidays from the shop for an undetermined amount of time and the MIL/my mom that I’m waiting on pictures from….
In addition to that, my maid of honor will be 3 weeks from her due date at the wedding (I’m wondering if her dress will end up fitting), a bridesmaid will have had her baby 3 weeks before the wedding (also wondering if her dress will fit), several close friends won’t be able to make the wedding….and I’m tired.
I know this is all stuff I shouldn’t stress about – so how do you other type A bee’s just relax and not worry??

@happyheidi1984: Honestly? I hired one of the most amazing wedding planners around and she is just as Type-A as I am. I knew I was in really good hands and it was the best money we spent for the wedding.

I am type A and I think I failed miserably at my wedding.
I spent some much time/money/brain power trying to make everything perfect.
In the end I think a lot of people had a good time at the wedding. The one person that did not have a good time….. ME………..
By the day of the wedding I was so stressed/annoyed/pissed off that I just wanted it to be over….
My suggestion…… stop planning for one week. Do not talk/think/dream/plan anything regarding the wedding. Take you and the FI and go somewhere private. Enjoy some great quality time together…….. Then come back and focus on YOU….. make sure that you have everything in place for you to have the best day of your life………

I’d consider myself Type A when it comes to planning stuff, but I’ve had an absolute blast organizing everything. I actually enjoy this kind of stuff and attention to detail. Just try to enjoy it! I’m sad that it’ll all be over in 2 days, it flies by!

@Treejewel19: I’ve hired a day of coordinator that is AMAZING and really helps with some of the stress. A full on coordinator was out of the budget, but you are soooo right with it being money well spent!!
@californiabride2013: That is a great suggestion!! Thank you 🙂 I’m worried too that I’m going to have trouble enjoying the wedding because I’ll be so worried about everything…..I keep reminding myself to just chill out, but it seems to be easier said then done!
@Pinkmoon: First off – CONGRATS on your wedding!!! I hope it all went smoothly for you 🙂 I had a blast organizing for the first 12 months….now I’m ready for it to just get here already!! LOL It’s really reassuring to hear that another type A bee was able to just enjoy everything – it gives me new hope!!
