Just wondering if any fellow bee’s have done the “reveal”
– bride and groom meet up at a private place with just the photographer, usually the groom stands waiting with his back to her while she walks up behind him so when he see’s her for the first time its just you and him. i personally LOVE the idea, if i want to do the ugly cry or laugh alot i can and not in front of a crowd. lol.
Ive been informed its a selfish act, as it takes away that moment from the guests when u first see each other before your about to be husband and wife. i think it will be just as special, after all, im wedding my best friend 🙂

- Wedding: September 2013 - Creek club at ion, SC
lol – it is not a selfish act. It doesnt take away from the guests experience …sorry but I cant follow that line of thinking at all.
Planning on doing it – i say go for it 🙂

@channylovesjosh: We did this, and have no regrets that we did a first look. 🙂

It’s a matter of personal choice between the bride and groom and has nothing to do with the guests enjoyment of the day. Even with a first look, there’s still something special about walking up the aisle for the big moment.
We’re doing a first look and getting part of our photos out of the way before the wedding so we’ll have more time with our guests. First looks are handy in terms of helping cocktail hours remain and hour and not stretch into two because there are so many photos to take.
