Hi Aussie,
I was there this past June. I loved it there but I'm not too sure what you are looking for in your destination wedding. The reason why I'm saying this is because Belize is still a place that's still building itself, transportation isn't always easy and getting to and fro belize city where you'll be landing isn't a smooth ride either.
It's definitely something for the adventurous soul. Belize is a very casual place. The place I stayed out was GORGEOUS and spacious with modern kitchen and all. I forgot the name of the hotel but I remember it was the most beautiful one on the island. Service was superb but during downtime, they only staff 2-3 people.

Belize is one of the most beautiful places I have visited. We actually stayed in the jungle (at Blancaneaux lodge) and it was wonderful and magical. Belize is not the easiest place to get to our get around in though, it might be hard for your guests as well as for you guys but boy, is it ever fabulous!

I know they do weddings, not sure how they are, but just throwing it out there as an option.
The website I posted has many pics of weddings at Victoria House too! I heard they do a lot of weddings and that they know what they are doing....

We are thinking of having our wedding on Ambergis Caye, Belize. Has anyone had a wedding there or attended one there? Looking for suggestions, I'm getting a bit overwhelmed by the internet!! Thanks!
