You can try calling a travel agent and asking for advice?
Also why don't you pick out hotels in both locations and compare them side by side with amenitites and price. That should also help.
I've been to both and they offer great but different things.
Let us know what you're looking for or what kinds of things you'd like to do on your honeymoon so we can get a better feel of it. I'm sure there are plenty of people here that can offer some insight. There have been posts abouts Belize vs. another place similar to Bahamas so definitely search for that for some input!
I vote for Belize! Although I've never been, I've travelled pretty extensively throough Panama, Costa Rica and Nicaragua and they are all amazing and I had a friend who went to Belieze for a semester in college and she has been completely obsessed ever since! I would also highly recommend Costa Rica for a honeymoon, it's my favorite place in the whole world :) I've been to several different areas of the Bahamas but wasn't super-impressed, I think the majority of those islands are built up and very touristy...Have you looked at the Virgin Islands?? St John, Tortola and BVI's are all incredible too!

We're looking for beautiful, relaxing beaches, good food, and a variety of activities -- snorkeling, hiking, and FI loves fishing. Honestly, the Out Islands don't look that spectacular to me from the hotel/accommodations research I've been doing, but maybe I'm just not getting accurate representations?
Rungurl10 -- I've only been to a bit of the Caribbean (Grand Cayman, Jamaica, and Cozumel), and I kind of feel the same way that you do about it. We're also considering Costa Rica. I've heard so many great things about it, too, but I'm concerned that it may be a little too off the beaten track-ish? But maybe Belize would too?
I'd vote for Belize as well...my FH and I are to be married in Ambergris Caye Feb 2010 (one of Belize's islands)...I would highly recommend this island for your honeymoon! It has fantastic snorkeling - the barrier reef is less than a mile from shore. The food is fantastic and reasonably priced...we stayed at the Sunbreeze Hotel right across from the airport (you never hear the planes)...price was good and the staff were super friendly and helpful.

I need help! We are pretty undecided about our honeymoon. We would love to go to the Maldives, but that's completely out of our budget, so we're trying to stick with something that's still somewhat exotic but more affordable. Has anyone been to Belize or the Out Islands in the Bahamas? Would you recommend either for a honeymoon? Any recommendations? Thank you!!
