Thanks everybody.

It's been a bit much tonight.  I had no idea all of this was heading in this direction as she (grandma) had been doing ok and grandpa is hanging in there w/the kidney issue.

She (grandma) went to the hospital today and had another issue where she blacked out.  It's strange fluctuations in blood sugar (she is not a diabetic) and the docs have no idea what has caused it.  She's lost so much weight.  Gave her fluids.  She hasn't walked in quite sometime except I know once time in 3 weeks she has been out of bed.

Her doctor talked to my bil who is a doc and he said there's not much to do for her.  She's really delicate.  My grandpa is now believed to have dementia as per the doc who treats both of them.  He was talking to my grandpa today at the hospital for extended lengths of time and kept having to re-repeat himself over and over again.  It is his thought now my grandpa is having the beginnings of dementia.

I'm going home for 3-4 days after Christmas immediately to visit my family and of course, visit them.

I was ok with everything until my sister said hospice.  When she said they put grandma on hospice I lost it and just cried my eyes out.  I took a 30 minute walk with my son tonight (he knows too) to just kinda work all this hurt out. 

Thank you for remembering them in your prayers.  They are the most loving people in the world.  I'm not totally shocked, but in some way I am.  It is just I cannot fathom them NOT being in my life.  They're such an amazing part of our lives.  I guess I'm blessed to have had them 40 years, but it's still not enough and I need to quit being so damn selfish I guess.  God loves them too, and I need to quit just being selfish and wanting them both here for me.  I want her to not be like this.

I'm gong to try to go to zzz.  I'm just really upset I'm so far away from my family right now.

I just realized I haven't told T yet.  That's what I'm doing now then zzz.
