I am using the mama mio tummy rub butter…it smells amazing and it is very thick and creamy…so far I love it!! I have been using it for awhile to avoid any stretch marks…the only thing is is that it is kind of expensive ($40 for a tube). But i figure it had a ton of good reviews and this is something I think is worth it.

Don’t know if they have this brand by you, but my friend who is on baby #3 w/o stretch marks swears by Mustela brand.  It’s about 10$ per tube, I’ve been going through about a tube per month.  I’m only 23 weeks at this point, but so far no stretch marks.

I second the Mama Mio Tummy Rub- my friends with babies swear by it. I will put it on in the morning, and at night my skin still feels soft and moisturized. Totally worth the money!

@ms.melli:  I skated competitively for years, too ๐Ÿ™‚  I miss it so much, but rinks are few and far between around Paris.  If Baby T is a girl I’m totally going to try and get her into it though!

IDK about creams but my mom has this theory that when your belly starts stretching it will start itching whatever you do, do not scratch I have two babies and i didnt use nothing but just regular lotion and I have no stretch marks. I know my friends said palmers works good luck

I never got any special creams.  I’m 37 and a half weeks and still no stretch marks. There was a couple of weeks when my tummy skin got dry, so I just put on our regular moisturizer at that time.

My midwife told me that stretch marks are genetic. If you’re going to get them, you’re going to get them. I ignored her and thought, all these woman can’t be wrong! I bought Medela and one other basic vitamin E. My tummy looks like a road map even though I use them 2 times per day and I’m still under my pre-pregnancy weight.

@sweetheart03:  I agree with your advice. My stomach itches insanely and I itched it obviously…I scratched myself a bunch of times before I trimmed my nails and learned to itch ABOVE my shirt not directly onto my skin.

@mwitter80:  DAMNIT! but guess what…still using creams:( I’m realistic and sensible like that ๐Ÿ˜‰

Mwitter is right. Stretch marks are genetic. If you’re going to get them, they’re going to happen no matter what. I moisturized and used lots of stuff and my tummy still looks awful.
