    Hi everyone,

I am DIYing my invitations and my programs and I was wondering if anyone has a particular type of double stick tape or other adhesive that has worked well for them?  I need to affix my envelope liners, and I am also going to make program fans, so I am going to need a LOT of double stick tape!  I wanted to check and see if any brands were good or bad before I went out and bought some-- because that stuff is EXPENSIVE!

    Thanks!

I'm using the Scotch brand tape rollers.  They're purple.

I really liked Zots and plan to use ThermOWeb Super Tape from Paper Source for my invites. P.S. I gotta give some love to all the ladies who know the value of a good adhesive!

For liners, I totally advise using cheapie Scotch brand Glue Sticks from Michaels. Not worth using runner, it's expensive!

And for the other stuff, tape runner is good, or Xyron.

Zots have worked well for most of my projects, but I really like the 3M spray adhesive when I need to stick a larger piece of paper to something.

I actually like Zot's but perfer the wal-mart Glue Dots. I swear by them.  They are like my duct tape. I should purchase stock in them lol!!!

Buy the 5'' xyron with a 50% off Michael's coupon and run your invites through that.

So, I had a hilarious conversation with my FI tonight trying to explain to him why I have been so obsessed with reading/posting on WB, because he just couldn't figure out what in the world we could all possibly be posting about.

So, I said, "it's great because I can ask all the kinds of wedding questions that you don't care about at all, and get really great and informative answers-- like whether to go with flat or folded note cards for our thank you notes, or what kind of adhesive will be best to put together our invites."

And he stared at me blankly in disbelief for a second and said, "yeah, you're right, I don't care about those things at all.  That site sounds like it's made for people just like you" (crazy people-- he didn't say it, but I know that's what he was thinking)  :)

And now I have 4 fabulous and informative responses.  Thank you, Bees!

@MsTerrapin- I know just what you mean! I've been reading WeddingBee for over a year, but only started posting a week ago. I finally found a group of people interested in chatting about wedding stuff that I don't feel like I'm boring to death ;)

the best glue I know is "yes! glue" - what is great about it is that it dries absolutely flat, no rippling at all.
