Zots glue dots works really well for the DIY things that I did!
Any non-glue dots adhesives? I was hoping to have the pocket be continously attached. I dunno if that makes sense. haha
I ended up using a combo of double sided tape and glue sticks. I had a lot of issues with the mat and invite not sticking to the pocketfold.
I used Super Tacky Double Sided tape 1/8 in from paper-source.com
I've heard of some others having issues but this worked best for me for the pockets.... put on both sides of the fold for the pocket (------l------) and then folded it over itself. (hope that makes sense)
For the invite matting I used a combo of ModPodge and a Craftbond glue stick..... ultimately I wish I woulda just stuck to the double sided tape....
Hope this helps.... Oh I also thought about using a bookbinding bond that you can get at paper-source, but when I made my orders it was over my budget. I would think that booking-binding adhesive would DEFINITELY not come off. lol
There's a roll-on version of glue dots that works really well. (It creates a pattern of mini glue dots as you roll it onto the paper, so in effect it is "continuous.") Maybe it's Scotch brand?
I wish I had read this post before I bought all the Adhesive EZ Runner and did my pocketfolds. I must have used at least 15 rolls for the 180 pocket-folds I made a couple weeks ago. They didn't work so I went and bought more thinking I needed to glue both sides and I also weighed it all down for 5 days. The glue still isn't work. What did you end up using that worked? I need to attack the invitations again this weekend and this time find the right glue. Please let me know what you used.
Thanks!!
Use this stuff. I got it at Michaels or AC Moore and always used a coupon. I didn't have a single pocket break and I made 120!
After several trial's and just as many errors I ended up with the "wrinkle free, acid free" glue sticks. I think they're by elmyers? I got them at Michaels.
I didn't have any success with scrapbooking tape holding up and its very expensive. Although you have to be careful with the glue sticks (so not to get glue on non-glued parts) it works fantastic!
TERRIFICALLY TACKY TAPE!!! i swear it works wonders!! i used it on my pocket folds and they are folded forever!! the stuff is crazy sticky.... its red and you can get it at michaels.... :)
Scor-tape is awesome - I haven't done pocketfolds, but it's been super strong on everything I've used it with. You can find it at scrapbook stores, I don't think Michaels carries it yet.

Could you guys recommend a good adhesive for the pockets itself? I used Scrapbook Adhesive EZ Runner but that was only good for matting and easily came off. I am looking for something more permanent for the actual pocket portions so that it doesn't come apart.
Thanks!
