SOO! I feel like I should be handing out cookies or something! This has been like break through week (and its only Monday! well Sunday was amazing for wedding planning!) We narrowed down 2 carters, picked a DJ, and decided on a honemoon destination! (thank you lord!)!
We have decided on Jamaica!!! Neither FI or I have ever been!!! but we are def considering an AI resort!! so we can just relax!!!
So if you have been/are going where did you stay/are you going to stay?
any place to avoid??
and fun things to do!!!

We are staying at Couples Negril which has great reviews. My FI’s mother is a travel agent and has been there and loves it!

I’ve been there about 23-24 times and stayed at lots of places. For my honeymoon I would probably stay at Couples or Ritz Carlton. actually I would stay in Negril vs Montego bay or Ocho Rios (3 most popular tourist areas). And you can leave the hotel. You use caution like you would with anyplace else. It makes me sad when people make it seem like you will die if you leave the hotel grounds. There are plenty of excursions! Ricks Cafe and Dunns RiVer Falls are both great.

Couples! We stayed at San Souci, but I’ve heard all of their resorts are fabulous. You can’t go wrong there.

@TeeBee25: I was in Jamaica a few weeks ago for a friend’s wedding and the shuttle from the airport dropped some people off at the Hilton. It looked nice 🙂 Have fun!

@kansas_nurse: We went to Sandals in Negril and it was amazing!!!! I would NOT venture off of the resort by foot or by yourselves. Also, Once your plane lands, I HIGHLY recommend catching a “puddle jumper” (a plane which seats about 10 people) to fly you to Negril.

@kansas_nurse: If you have a nice budget to work with for a honeymoon the HalfMoon is by far the best resort in Jamica. They obviously have different tiers of service like any AI but the HalfMoon is the best. It is where most celebrities go. But if you have a smaller budget the Sandals Montego Bay is great!
