Hi All!  My fiance and I are heading to Hawaii for our honeymoon, but we have a stopover in San Fran for an over night.  We land at about 8pm and take off the next morning at 9am -- does anyone have a recommendation for a nice, but not too nice, cheap, but not too cheap, hotel that has really easy access to the airport?

    THANKS!

Lol okay feel free to disregard this, but last year FI and I needed somewhere cheap to stay and we stayed at the Good Nite Inn (now call CitiGarden Hotel) in South SF.  Let me just say, I have high standards for cleanliness, and I was expecting the worst (we were looking for a REALLY cheap hotel) but it was actually quite nice and clean!  So it definitely fails the "but not too cheap" test, but passes the clean test, the cleanliness and quality of the room was way better than the price would imply.  Also, they have a free shuttle to the airport, I think it was like 5 minutes, which satisfies your other requirement :)

Anyway, since you didn't get any other bites I wanted to throw in my two cents, although it's not exactly what you asked for!

There were a couple other hotels nearby as well, and they also had the free shuttle.  So if you want to up the quality and price a bit, google map the Citigarden and pick one in the same lot and you're guaranteed to be close and have shuttle!

I haven't personally stayed at either, but my company always puts up our VPs and dealers at either the Hyatt or the Westin. Not sure the exact price range you're looking for, but both offer a free airport shuttle.

Get on HOTWIRE !     I've had friends stay at the Hilton ( very nice ) for  $60-$70!      They just found the 3 star hotel by the airport and ended up with that one every time.

I wish I could help, but I don't know anything about any of the hotels around the airport.  I would suggest a site like Expedia or something so you can see pictures of where you would stay, see ratings, and most importantly find something in your budget!  Good luck!
