I am starting to plan our honeymoon, and we are on a strict budget. Because we live in south Texas, we can go somewhere in Mexico or to Jamaica for relatively cheap.
However, when I get on Cheap Carribbean.com, all the resorts have pretty good reviews and don’t seem that different from each other. I would love a REAL review from someone who has been to one of these places.
My preference would be Cabo since their prices are the lowest, but we are open to Rivera Maya and Jamaica too.
– Adults Only
– All Inclusive
– $2500-3000 for 6 nights, all inclusive, including airfare/ Travel dates March 16-March 22

CAN IT BE DONE?! Can’t wait to see your pictures!

@Miss Leopard: Hey! We went to Secrets The Vine in Cancun and looooved it. And next week, we are marrying at Secrets St. James in Montego Bay, Jamaica. Both are luxury hotels, AI, adults only.
We too looked on Cheap Carribean. And I have to say that Continental vacations were the cheapest. However, Jamaica isn’t cheap. We too are in Texas..a major city and our total trip is about $5k. That is only hotel and airfare. Our wedding is free and it’s just us. We are staying 8 days, middle range room. We are technically going in the off season and it’s far more expensive than Mexico or even other areas. Don’t let it being in the Caribbean fool ya…it’s on the higher end. 🙂
Secrets resorts are all over the Carribean. I say you totally can do it in Mexico!!!!! Probably have some left over. Try Secrets Maroma Beach. We seriously considered Mexico but weren’t a fan of the legal requirements. I hear Aruba and Bermuda are beautiful, too.
Please let me know if you have questions!

Excellence Playa Mujeres in Riveria Maya! We are getting a rooftop suite and plane tickets from STL for 7 days for under $4,000. It’s much cheaper if you don’t get the rooftop suite and the reviews and pictures are AMAZING!

@Miss Leopard: I spent a solid day researching this. I landed on couples swept away in Jamaica. Including airfare it was a bit over your budget but we didn’t get the base level room. I would definitely check it out!
